Having bought some new cupboards with shelves and drawers I had a delightful afternoon emptying storage boxes and the bonus was that I found the fat quarter of animals print I'd intended to make into a cushion, along with the backing fabric, piping cord and zip! It doesn't take much to make me happy!
Here is the result.
I hadn't put a zip and piping into a seam for a long time, that was a bit of a challenge but I'm really pleased with the result.
I'm about to start a padded heart Christmas wreath kit which I bought at the quilt fair. Lots of silvery fabrics and added bling!

Cross Stitch Completed
A very unusual occurrence for me, I completed a cross stitch project in record time, didn't lose interest and made it into a cushion for my sweet granddaughter!
I bought this magazine Cross Stitch Crazy, October 2015 and fell in love with the hares on the front cover.
The fabric I used to make up the cushion has hares all over it.
I am so pleased with it the result.
I hope you're having a happy weekend!

Patchwork Cushion - Dresden Plate
I'm a true miniaturist at heart and although I enjoy all kinds of crafts and often start new things, the pull of miniature making is strong and my other projects fall by the wayside.
I did however, finish this Dresden plate cushion which I made for a friend's birthday - and I finished it on time!
It was quick to do and I managed to make it before I lost interest, unlike the quilt I'm putting together for my granddaughter. I'm using a design from the book Jelly Roll Quilts by Pam and Nicky Lintott. I'm working on the Classic Sampler Quilt of 12 different squares, using a pretty Jelly Roll from Moda.
I'll post some photos of my progress next time.
It's Friday again, so enjoy your weekend,
